If it's not Madoff, it's Buffett, it would work out very well for Fred.

Buffett makes about 20%/year return. $5.9m at 2000 becomes $36.5m at 2010. At 2011, 20% of $36.5m is $7.3m/year. Fred has to pay only $1.2m to 博比哥, and Fred keeps $36.5+6.1=42.6m. And more and more for later years.
