Try to find a package that includes air ticket and hotel, it will be more worthwhile
The shopping district may be better. Such as Causeway Bay, Tsim Sha sui

Or: I would recommend 香港城市花园酒店(City Garden Hotel)
That hotel is in North Point District, close to MTR. A bit old and may be noisy, as it is close to main road.

Try search from Ctrip web to check the expected price, name a few hotel and I give comment, it is easier for me.At least I understand your price and value expectation first.
