Honor student is counted by GPA, usually >=3.5;

When did she came to USA? English writing needs good critical thinking skill, vocabulary, grammer and English Lit background, it does not mean: you are borned in USA, your english will be good; if she came to USA after middle school, it is pretty hard for her for English writing( I mean as top student)...
