I really donot know this regulation. If this is true, almost all chinese students here have violated the federal regulation. Even the immigration specialist of International Students Severice here didnot require the F1 buy insurance for thier F2 to maintain their legal status. Could you bother to tell me where can I find the stipulation, for example in ID20 or something else document? how can verify it? I think if this regualtion is so important, we can easily find the articles in any easily reachable document.

Thank you for your reminding. I will tell chinese student here to buy insruance for their F2 to avoid breaching law unawarely.
