Don't worry.

1) Ask the hospital to bill different insurance companies depending on the date.
2) Call both insurance companies asking them what kind of paper work is needed to solve this problem.
3) Ask your HR for help.

This problem is solvable. Just need to make lots of phone calls and spend energy on it.
