She had valid visa but her passport was invalid. That's why immigration officer intetrviewed her and confiscated her immigration visa. She found a lawyer and was successfully got her visa back and got the greencard. It's nothing to do with 政治庇护. It's just the officer wanted to know why she held an valid passport.
