父母探亲签证可以以照顾生孩子为理由吗?

各位大侠，如有类似经历，请赐教。
父母以探亲旅游为名被上海美国领事馆拒绝签证一次。现准备让母亲独自去签。想不到更好的理由，我可不可以直接在邀请信上写明是来照顾女儿生孩子，坐月子?有人说这样说可能会直接被拒，因为美国人就怕父母来带孩子。没有这样的经验，不知各位可有这方面的消息，可不可以用这个理由。
