请教8老师，父母结婚证公证问题

刚给父母办了结婚证公证（申请绿卡用），但是申请人上是母亲（用母亲的那一份结婚证办的）。父亲的名字只出现在英文翻译的“marriage certificate”上。请问这样的公证能用来给父亲申请绿卡吗？谢谢8老师！
