1) applicant has to show up in person. Otherwise a notarized letter authorizing the representative to get the document is required
2) if walk in, can get the document same day. No appointment required
3) $42 required for the document
4) all people in LA who need a police clearance letter for immigration purpose need to go to the following address in Norwalk. Suite 920 (如果我没听错的话）
5) application by mail takes about 4-5 weeks
6) photo ID and USCIS letter required to get the document
