--It means from the first date of the month in which the PD is current (the CSPA age is frozen on this date). For example: if her PD was current in December, 2011, and her child should do the I-485 interfiling before December 1, 2012 to be qualified with the parent EB1 I-485 even if her child filed I-485 in Feb 2012.
If her child can not do I-485 interfiling to EB1, the child pending I-485 (EB2) is still valid even if the parents do the I-485 interfiling to EB1, but the child I-485 will not be approved until the EB2 PD is current again.
