8 master or anyone experienced, more questions regarding J1 waive:

What is the approximate time (minimum to maximum) for processing J1 waive from Chinese consulate?

During this period time, may I hold J1 visa to go back to China?

What is the approximate time (minimum to maximum) for processing J1 waive from the US Secretary Department?

Will this be a good time to discuss H1 visa with my boss after I file waive to the US Secretary Department? If not, when should I bring the topic to my boss?
