I-94

I am asking for help about my I-94. Now I am a H1B holder, I want to using AP to visit China next month. When I leave US, i need detach my nearest I-94 from my H1B document to hand it in. When i am back US, i will get a new I-94. My question is what will be the expiration date of my new I-94? It will be the same date as showed in H1B document or not? or anything else? My passport will be expire within next 6 months.The expiration date of I-94 is a kind of related with the passport expiration date or not, although I am using AP? I am so confused. I need applying for a new passport in hurry?
