Renew your passport before you leave. If your passport validity is less than 6 months, you can not travel internationally.

When you uase AP to come back, you will get the parolee I-94 which duration is for one year, but it does not affect your previous H1 duration indicated in your H1 approval notice. That means you can continue to work for your employer until your current h1 approval expires even if the parolee I-94 expires.
