第一次听说consular processing，恶补了一下，感觉不是一个好的Option，正在考虑是否应该放弃这个工作机会。

已经跟我的律师沟通了一下，我给他的信：
Now I have an opportunity to work for a small US　California startup company. I will be working on quality control. But this position requires me 90% of my time to travel and work in China。 I need to stay there and monitor the manufacturing process and quality. My questions is that: Will this situation endanger my 485 pending?

律师的回信：
- sound like you will work in a similar position as your current job, so you should be able to "port" your I-485 to the new company; however, you must make sure that your permanent work site (job opportunity) is in US, and you must be able to document that, i.e. employer's letter to back you up, continued US payroll record, etc.

现在我的问题是
1. 如何理解permanent work site (job opportunity)is in US？（这个公司US有质量部门，这个工作机会就属于这个部门，不过需要经常或长期出差在中国生产厂家）
-That means your employment is still in your current position (e.g. paid from your current employer in US, etc as evidences) and you just temporarily work in China. It seems you are OK.
2. USCIS有明文规定不可离境太久或时间规定吗？
-No.
