Actually this is my friend's case. She and her hu*****and adopted a child in China two years ago since they did not have a child of their own. Now my friend just got her citizenship, but her hu*****and would rather stay with Green Card status. She is wondering if it is enough for her to become citizenship to apply green card for their baby in China or both of them have to be American Citizen first?
