这一两天就打算把材料寄出去。请问我还有必要再去补一个有效的I-20吗？还有地址是不是要打电话给移民局改到我现在的住址，让那封关于F1的信寄过来呢？
-Yes, you had better get that letter and send the required materials (补材料)folloing the instruction, and also provide a new (valid) I-20 if you want to reinstate your F1 status.

But if you do not want to do anything, it is still OK for you to get GC using family base in your case.

You also need to file Form AR-11 to report your address change if you have not done that yet.
