Sorry to hear that.

So I guess u can not register for another semester even you do not need financial aid? If that is the case, try to transfer to another department in ur school. I believe this is the fastest way as a back up. Usually, this type of internal transfer only takes about 1 or 2 weeks. At the same time, file your H1 application ASAP. Once you have the receipt, you are absolute legal to stay here. Talk to your company about it (do not mention ur qualifying exam result though) because lawyer needs paperwork from company also.

If you can still register, just do it. Finacial aid is not a big issue. You can get those several thousands dollars back in no time after you get ur H1B.
