Too tricky. Even lawyers gave you different answers, what else can you expect from here?
Seems B company like you very much, and B company lawyer says you can not switch job at this moment, that give you a very good excuse to stay in A company officially, but continue to work for B company physically. It may be tough for you, but it is safer for you as well, I think.
