Need help: H1->F1. Urgent!

I am holding H1 and will go back school this fall. I just got email from the school that INS has sent them electronic notification of the approval on my change of status from H1 to F1, the paper approval letter will arrive at the school in 10 days. This means my H1 has ended now. Question is: Should I quit the company immediately or I am still entitled to a two week notice period?
