关于name check， 非常困惑

我们的情况是这样的，我是主申请人，已经拿到绿卡。我老公还没有，去年6月份面试时被告知NC还在pending。今年我的绿卡批准时（7/23/07)，说他的background check pending。然后我们给senator写信，结果收到一封回信，说FBI说他的NC2005年8月11号就完成了。我们的PD是2005年8月2号。现在的问题是：

1. NC会这么快就完成吗？
2. 如果会，移民局怎么不知道？我们的case在local office,和这有关吗？
3. 还是FBI/senator搞错了？
4. 现在该怎么办？他现在人在中国。

请各位老师帮忙看一下，不胜感激。
