诚心请教大家关于失业保险

My family and I got NIW based I-140 approval in the middle of last year through my spouse’s scientific research work, then we filed 485 last September. I used to work at the west coast in a company whereas my family lives at the east coast in which we filed the 485 last year. Now I lost my job, having family financial problems and would like to consult the warm hearted people in this forum about the unemployment insurance
My questions are
1) Can I apply for that unemployment insurance money? Will this bring in any negative effect on our pending 485 application?
2) To which states I need to the application, the previous state where I worked or current resident state?

I knew that the money will be coming from the insurance company, not the social welfare office. Will this still be viewed as being a burden of the States in the eye of USCIS?
