你说的和学校的类似， 刚才我学校International student
advisor 虽然没有提 30 天的问题， 但是她说因为我没有收
到新的 I－94，我还是 H1B， 她认为是移民局的疏忽，让我
写信去问批件的人，并且要我强调指出我希望继续工作到明
年开学的时候。他说 the purpose of applying for status change is to get a new I94 card。

我 confused 的就是没有收到这个 i－94 card， 当xiaobaitu
指出我没有 I94 的时候， 我就以为我必须离境去obtain i94 card 就像我当初来美国的时候， 签证， 然后入境的时候拿
个新的 I94 卡

有几个问题再请教，

1）您说得两封信，一个是盖章的I-20, 有起始日期， 这个
起始日期， 您指的是我的 I20上的stamp 日期，Sep 8， 2006
么？还是学校的开学日期, Jan 2006?

2）您说的“再申请”， 是指申请 I－94 卡， 象我学校的
advisor 说的么？

3）我是不是可以肯定还可以继续工作因为的 H1B I94 还有效的
呢？是不是需要想办法从移民局获得reassurance in paper，
否则万一不是的话，我就有麻烦了呢？ 通过几次和他们通话，
决得电话上说的东西根本不可靠， 10 个人 10 个说法

4) 那个 note 是不是就决定了我如果出境，就必须重新
签证， 即便是去 Canada 一天， 也必须签
