But if you have major change in your wage based on the new location, or major change in your job calssification, your employer needs to file the H1 amendment. The h1 amendment procedure is the same as regular H1 extension, but only needs to pay the I-129 filing fee of $320, not other fee (e.g. Training fee, antifraud fee, etc.)
