律师说4月1号递交H1b申请后在10月1日以前不能离开美国，他说的对吗？
-Yes or not. If your h1 petition is pending, you can not leave U.S. But if it is approved, you can leave U.S. any time and come back just in advance up to one month before the h1 is effective or after it is effective (Oct. 1). because you are Canadian citizen, you just need to bring the h1 approval notice with you and get the h1 I-94 at the port of entry when you enter U.S.

我拿加拿大护照，律师说从加拿大也进不来。正式工作的日期在7月，因此需要办OPT。我拿OPT和F1不可以回美国吗？
-Yes, you can leave and come back (see above answer).
