I am in H1B 7 year. I have an aproved I-140 with current company. Unfortunately my position is like to cut by the end of this year. Can I find another job and using the I-140 to get H1B sponsored from a new company? Thank
-You can do H1 transfer if your H1 is still valid (e.g. you have extended your h1 for another 3-year period beyond 6 year H1 limit). But you can not use this I-140 to extend your h1 again if you work for the new employer unless you have filed your I-485 by this time.
