thanks, pjiang. i fully understand what you are talking about here. but how come you don't assume now you are in your 5th year? in my eyes, if you want to apply for a part-time h1b while your full-time h1b has entered the 2nd 3-yr term, the expiration date of your part-time h1b should be consistent with that of your full-time h1b due to the existence of the six-year cap.

anyway, this being said, i am really scratching my head wondering whether one pending gc petition can provide enough legal foundation for multiple h1b extension. maybe. i just don't know.
