If the "more" part happens to be the one that can be readily measured and esteemed by humans, we call that "gifted," forgetting that it is we, the humans, who put on the wrappings. Meanwhile, the "less" part got overshadowed by the shiny wrappings, and not realizing the "gift" came with a price, which will be collected later.
Many parents, after their child, who was formerly labeled "gifted" and made them basking in pride, had left home, wish they had more emotional connections with that child.
