This only works if the share chosen for such trade is long-term or forever Alpha positive. But that is what is difficult as if you can surely identify such a share, you will win by just putting your money into it no matter what your investment/trade strategy is. The short-term swing trading strategy is just to trade the Beta to enhance the Alpha.
If one happens to apply this strategy to a chosen negative Alpha share (long term dwon-treanding) and sticking with this strategy, sooner or later it will bankrupt you.
