DJ Chinese A-Shares Earnings Recovery Surprisingly Accelerated in 2Q -- Market Talk
0330 GMT - The earnings recovery for Chinese A-share companies surprisingly accelerated in 2Q, Daiwa analysts write in a note. While top-line growth was flat on year amid tepid domestic demand, bottom-line growth picked up notably in 1H, mainly driven by upstream industries, they add. The proportion of loss-making manufacturing firms fell sharply to 11.4% this year although the improvement wasn't strong enough to reverse China's deflationary spiral yet, Daiwa says.
