"Intel came out with a “substantially” lower guidance for next quarter. "-------i can't figure out if there is any reason for the management team of a public traded company to hide the possible "good" forward looking guidance in case they do have any?

unless the management team plan to surprise the public at a specific time later on? or the management team want to buy back some shares? it's not likely.
