However, OpenAI does not seem to have any plans to go public anytime soon. In June 2023, OpenAI CEO and co-founder Sam Altman said that his company has no plans to conduct an IPO. He also said that the company is concerned that listing its shares on a public stock exchange could limit its ability to develop AI fully.
