Breaking: U.S. House of Representatives Impeaches President Dona

The U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach President Donald Trump Wednesday. The vote was expected and had little effect on the financial markets. But trading had been fairly quiet during the regular session in anticipation of any vote in Congress.

- The Democratic-led House voted along party lines (230 to 197 with 1 voting present) in favor of the first article of impeachment: abuse of power.

- It also voted (229 to 198 with 1 present) to impeach the president on the second article: obstruction of Congress.

 

- It is very likely Trump will be removed from office by the Republican-led Senate. unlikely!
