亚当理论是美国人威尔德（J.W.Wilder）所创立的投资理论。威尔德于1978年发明了著名的强弱指数RSI，还发明了其它分析工具如PAR、抛物线、动力指标MOM、摇摆指数、市价波幅等。这些分析工具在当时的时代大行其道，受到不少投资者的欢迎，即使在今天的证券投资市场中，RSI仍然是非常有名的分析工具。但很奇怪，威尔德后来发表文章推翻了这些分析工具的好处，而推出了另一套崭新理论去取代这些分析工具，即“亚当理论”。
