for what it matters: Supply/Demand Balance Analytic Report - Northeast production hits all-time high. While total production in the US was flat to slightly declining Monday compared to the weekend, Northeast production hit an all-time high Sunday of 20.203 Bcf/d, beating the previous record set on August 15 of 20.201 Bcf/d. The record high was led mostly by gains in West Virginia, which saw volumes increase by 0.144 Bcf/d from Friday to Sunday. Powerburn hit 34.2 Bcf/d Monday, up 0.4 Bcf/d from Sunday and a full 1 Bcf/d over Saturday. This was led by 0.2 Bcf/d increases in both Texas and the Northeast. Demand for powerburn in the Northeast is expected to rise a small amount Tuesday before tapering off through the rest of the week as temperatures return to normal. Imports from Canada increased to 6 Bcf/d Monday, up 0.1 Bcf/d from their weekend average. This was led by a 0.1 Bcf/d increase into the Northeast, while imports into the rest of the country were flat.
