What you mentioned US facing are all true.
But that still can't reach the conclusion on the gold price.

Currency is just a game of confidence.

Don't get me wrong, I have a few shares of GLD, but I have to treat it as another commodity.
Gold is not the currency, and it will not be a currency again unless the civilization is gone.
