Do you think it will be another 1973/1974? There are just so many parallels:

Incumbent Republican president,
Rising inflation,
Rising oil prices,
A messy war going awry,
Housing price bubbles,
Lethargic large caps,
Dollar under pressure.

A main difference is that in 1973/1974, this country didn't have the twin deficits.
