A person is either an investor or a trader. Most people here are traders, more specifically day traders, they only care for short-term swing. Although I am not a day-trader, I believe a good day trader (less than 5%, not suitable for the majority) can make money. For example, a folk yesterday put SPX, it doubles this morning. Technical analysis is much more useful than fundamental analysis for traders, the opposit is true for investors. I haven't discovered a real technical analysis expert in this forum yet, although it populates with traders. Just my 2 penny.
