ManTech Awarded Five-Year, $20.5 Million, Engineering and Technical Services Contract for Submarine and Surface Ship Acoustical Trials from the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center

FAIRFAX, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 1, 2004--ManTech International Corporation (Nasdaq:MANT - News), a leading provider of innovative technologies and solutions focused on mission-critical national security programs for the Intelligence Community, the Department of Defense, the Department of State, the Department of Justice, the Department of Homeland Security and other federal government customers announced today that it has been awarded a contract from the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWC Carderock) to provide engineering and technical services for Submarine and Surface Ship Acoustical Trials.

The indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract is for five years and has a $20.5 million value. Work will be performed in Bethesda, Maryland; Panama City, Beach, Florida; and at-sea aboard U.S. Navy ships.
This contract will provide engineering and technical services to conduct acoustic measurements and develop data acquisition systems for submarines and surface ships. It will also support oceanographic research vessels and hydrographic survey vessels.
NSWC is part of the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). It is the primary technical engineering resource, providing lifecycle support from ship design to electronic systems, for surface ship and submarine development for NAVSEA.
