Is Anyone Using TDAmeritrade here?

I just opened a TD Ameritrade account and deposited 20K into it. However, I found out that the money went into a sweep vehicle money market account. The cash balance is still 0. When I bout a stock and it costed me around 20K, then I noticed that I have a margin balance of -$20K. What does this mean, does this mean that I need to pay the high margin rate for the $20K and get the 0.5% money market interest rate?

Anyone used Ameritrade, can you please help explain this? Also, I am contacting Ameritrade as well for this?
