第一，租控对房租每年的增长控制在通膨率+5%, (最多10%）

这个限制只适用于于建于2010以前的住房。

但是，如果你孩子的住房建于2010以后，即使房子不受租控，签租的时候，房东必须让他签一个额外的表格，说明这个房子不受加州租控限制。如果没有签这个通知，那么房东必须遵守租控限制。
