请教一个报税问题，配偶去年有点临工只挣了几千，为了挣够4个点的

social security credit, 一个点一千多，一共要6、7千。想问两个问题：

1，这个6、7千是gross income 还是 net income? google 上说是gross income. 

2, 如果配偶不挣这个social security credits 退休后照样拿我的一半（chatgpt如是说），那么是不是不如不报？
