请教一个国内放弃遗产继承的问题。我家队友从小在上海爷爷奶奶家长大，户口也在哪儿。他的父母和弟弟住在南京，父母一直由第弟照

照顾。他想日后放弃父母的遗产，是不是什么都不要做就可以了？还是一定要有放弃证明？先谢谢大家了。
