I just check the J2 EAD Regulations and found that legal work authorization for J-2 dependents is always dependent on the status of the J-1 principal. So, if you discontinue your J1 program in FL, you wife's EAD will be made invalid and she can not use this EAD to work. She has to applys for a new EAD based on your new J1 status.
So, just ignore my response to your previous question.
