I also found that If the J1 transfer, all the J2 dependents must transfer with the J1 from: http://www.auburn.edu/academic/international/forms/oie/isss/intenttotransferform-j1.pdf

It seems that J2 status is also indirectly related to the sponsor and this is different from H4.
