回复:To PJiang老师: Apply for AP & EAD after landing in Canada

Automatic Revalidation implies that you have already used a visa to enter US.

The quoted statement refers to VWP, which has nothing to do with your situation.

I found this online. Please check the following link.

"Permanent residents (aka landed immigrants) of Canada must have a nonimmigrant visa unless the permanent resident is a national of a country that participates in the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), meets the VWP requirements, and is seeking to enter the U.S. for 90 days or less under that program."

The US immigration officer at Ottawa airport made remarks in my file that as a landed Canadian immigrant, if I come to Canada from US next time, I must have an H-1B visa to re-enter the US from Canada and I can't use Automatic Revalidation any more.
Is it because of the above quoted regulations for landed immigrants?
