can i use my 2nd EAD card?

I am in opt now. Filed I140 I 485 concurrently before 10/01/05 and H1B recently. I have two EAD card now (one from opt, the other from I485). The first EAD card (from opt) will expire on January 06. I believe there maybe 1 months gap between January 06 and the date my H1B got approved (maybe February 06). My question is can I use my second EAD card (from I485, will expire on October 06) to fill the gap? When my H1b is approved, can I stop to use the second EAD card and transfer to H1B to work? Do I need to be out of US to get H1B approved? Thank you so much. Have a great day!
