Absolutely ! You can file the divorce as the petitioner and wait at least 6 months for the divorce to be finalized.

Your divorce will be quick, easy, and inexpensive if it is amicable and cooperative. Otherwise, who knows how long the divorce will be taken and how much you will spend working with the divorce attorney to get everything settled.
