Learn to do business in US

Like to learn doing business in US. Do I have to register a company first? I really don't know what needs and where to start. Anyone can give me a to do list, item 1, 2, 3. Willing to do anything and everything to learn. Perhaps getting goods from wholesale and sell them for some profit. Thank you for you mentoring.
