May I ask have you done Multi-level marketing or direct sell channel before? Pyramid marketing is illegal in USA, how do you say it is popular?

let's say direct sell channel, there are region general manager, directors, managers and sales reps, they all get compensated by the end-consumers purchases.

I don't know how to define the multi-level marketing, open to discussion.
