I have been watching the biz for over 4 years. Personally, I would like to install one system on the roof of my house.

Here what I learned in the past years:
1. The break-even after state tax credit and incentive is about 10 - 17 years.
2. We need to include the maintenance costs (such as clean up dusts....)
2. The price for solar panel is up in recent years
3. The best price of solar panel was not in China at least right now
4. China will be a biggest supplier in solar panel due to the discovery of additional silicon....
5. I would start to an installation company first to involved in the biz
6. Like any other biz, we need a very strong marketing team, gov relation team and financial team.
7. Obama has a nice stimulation package in alternative energy
8. There are some new technology in solar panel (such as ink based and thin layer based…)
